Programme

Before the course:
To prepare for the workshop, please write a 200-word Abstract on your research project, limiting background/introduction to 2-3 sentences. Structure it with sections: Background, Methods, Results (preliminary data acceptable), and Potential Contribution to the Field. It can either be a structured abstract or an unstructured, single-paragraph abstract. If you are at an early stage or have not collected much data, instead describe your planned experiments and expected insights (e.g. “these experiments should tell us whether ....”). In other words, justify your methods and clarify how they address your research questions. Please bring this Abstract to the workshop, as we'll use it as the starting point for our hands-on exercises.

During the course:
The course will be structured in two sessions:

1) "Fundamentals" Session (4 hours)
An interactive session covering core principles of effective scientific communication, including structure, storytelling, slide and poster design, and visual clarity. The session combines short theoretical guidance with practical exercises carried out individually and in small breakout groups.

2) Practical Presentation & Feedback Session (about 3 hours)
A hands-on session conducted in small groups focused on participants’ own presentations. Participants present their work (approx. 5 minutes each) and receive detailed, structured feedback from the instructor and peers.
