About EMBO, EMBC and Chile
EMBO is an organization of more than 2,000 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences in Europe and beyond. EMBO supports talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulating the exchange of scientific information, and helping build a research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.
The National Agency for Research and Development (ANID) has had a co-operation agreement with EMBO since 2018.
EMBO Global Activities promote engagement with researchers beyond Europe to strengthen mutually beneficial interactions. Life scientists in countries and territories covered by a formal cooperation agreement receive access to EMBO Programmes, connecting them with researchers in Europe and catalyzing collaborations.
The EMBO Programmes and activities are funded by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC), an intergovernmental organization comprised of 31 Member States, two Associate Members States, and two Cooperation Partners.
