About the Practical Course

Single-cell transcriptomics is transforming biology, uncovering hidden cell states, dynamic transitions, and intricate interactions across systems from immunity to cancer. Yet as these technologies surge ahead, few scientists are equally fluent in the wet-lab and computational sides of the field.

This EMBO Practical Course was built to change that. We have brought together the very experts we wished we had when we started, pioneers in experimental design, library preparation, and advanced analyses such as RNA velocity and cell–cell interaction modeling.

No excuses, no silos, just start now and gain the skills you need to lead in single-cell research from scratch.

Over one immersive week, you will move seamlessly from sample preparation and library construction to data analysis and interpretation. This hands-on, full-pipeline training equips you with immediately applicable skills, fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, and gives you a head start on the next wave of single-cell discovery.
