About the India-EMBO Lecture Course

The India I EMBO Lecture Course on “RNA virus infection and host immune responses” addresses cutting-edge research in emerging and reemerging RNA viruses, with particular emphasis on fundamental infection biology, host immunity and intervention strategies. This course will therefore uniquely integrate viral mechanisms with host responses and translational applications. The programme features six key sessions covering host-pathogen interactions, viral replication mechanisms, innate and adaptive immune responses, vaccine development, and antiviral therapeutics. By bringing together leading international experts and early-career researchers, the course seeks to foster knowledge exchange and collaborative opportunities in the field of viral immunology. The lecture course specifically targets PhD students and postdoctoral fellows from India and other countries, with the fundamental objective of strengthening scientific understanding and raising awareness about RNA virus research.
