About the Workshop
Genomic and evolutionary research has transformed our understanding of how biological interactions shape life’s diversity. From symbiosis and host–pathogen relationships to competition, cooperation, and environmental adaptation, recent advances in sequencing, transcriptomics, and comparative genomics now allow scientists to uncover the mechanisms underlying these dynamic processes.
This EMBO Workshop “Evolving Together: From Genomics to Biological Interactions” will bring together researchers from multiple disciplines to explore how genomic architecture and evolutionary processes are intertwined with ecological interactions. This EMBO Workshop will integrate perspectives from molecular evolution, population genomics, ecology, and systems biology to highlight how interactions across organisms — and between organisms and their environments — drive adaptation and innovation.
By convening in Taipei, Taiwan, this EMBO Workshop situates these discussions within one of Asia’s most biodiverse regions. Taiwan’s unique ecosystems and vibrant research community provide an ideal setting to connect diverse study systems, bridging communities across continents and fostering future international collaboration.

About EMBO Courses and Workshops
EMBO Courses and Workshops are selected for their excellent scientific quality and timelines, provision of good networking activities for all participants and speaker gender diversity (at least 40% of speakers must be from the underrepresented gender).
Organisers are encouraged to implement measures to make the meeting environmentally more sustainable.
