It is not possible to stop in the middle of the registration procedure or to modify your registration later. Please make sure you have all the necessary information, including payment, before you start the registration procedure!

Please take all the necessary information and payment tools with you before beginning the registration process.
If you pay by card, you will receive a confirmation of registration by email. For other payment methods, you will receive a document with payment instructions.
Cancellation policy
Event attendees who cancel their participation no later than 30 days before the planned event date may receive a refund of their registration fees.
No refunds will be granted for cancellations beyond that point.
Selection criteria
Candidates for oral or poster presentation will be selected on the quality of the abstract in terms of the summary of the results, data and potential scientific contribution to the relative fields and to the EMBO Workshop. This information should be based on the general subject areas covered by the workshop.
The information used to decide on accepting the abstract will be the content, which should be based on an important aspect of parasitology. The information to be used will also be based on quality, clarity and focus of the description of the work and whether the abstract covers one or more of the following domains; Molecular parasitology, molecular biology, modification of host immunity, immunity, diverse and virulence specific differentiation, parasite escape, expression of pathogenic molecules, epigenetics, control of gene expression, antigenic variation, metabolic pathways, drug discovery, epidemiology and vector biology.
Abstract guidelines
Abstracts are limited to 350 words (body of text) and should be submitted through the application system.
Only registered participants are eligible to submit an abstract.
The abstract book will be available online in open access after the meeting.
Poster specifications
Poster boards are 2 m high x 1 m wide (portrait orientation). Posters should be A0 format portrait.
Travel grants and registration fee waivers
Travel grants and registration fee waivers are available for participants.
Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizers. EMBO travel grants and registration fee waivers are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract.

Additional travel grants are available for EMBC Associate Member States Chile, India, Singapore and Taiwan.
Child care grants
EMBO Courses and Workshops offers grants to offset additional childcare costs incurred by participants or speakers when participating at any EMBO Courses and Workshop funded meeting. Eligible costs include fees for a caregiver or child-care facility, travel costs for a caregiver, or travel costs for taking the child to the meeting etc. Please indicate on the registration form whether you would like to be considered for the grant. Please also describe how you intend to use the childcare grant and specify the sum that you will need.
Accesibility grants
EMBO offers accessibility grants to support participants at EMBO Courses & Workshops with any access needs. These grants cover up to 500 euros for any additional costs e.g. to adapt the conference environment, or to be accompanied by someone to assist them where necessary.
Participants with access needs may apply for a grant via the registration system of the related EMBO event, or by emailing the organizers of the related EMBO event directly.
Sustainability measures at the meeting
The venue actively enhances its energy efficiency by investing in advanced energy-saving technologies. It actively promotes energy conservation by engaging both staff and guests through awareness initiatives. Additionally, it minimizes water consumption by integrating efficient technologies and encouraging guests to use water responsibly, such as limiting towel washing through informative messages in bathroom facilities.
The venue is Green Key certified, an international eco-label awarded to establishments committed to sustainable practices, including energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and environmental awareness.
The majority of meals will be offered in a buffet format, helping to reduce food waste, optimize resources and energy, and promote the use of local and seasonal products.
Abstract books and programs will be shared in electronic form only.
