Selection criteria
Participation in the conference is limited to 160 attendees. The primary selection criterion is the quality of the scientific work. A scientific committee, composed by the Organizers and workshop speakers, will evaluate submitted abstracts based on their relevance to the astrocyte field and alignment with the workshop topics. The presentation of unpublished data is encouraged and will be given priority.
An essential guiding principle in the selection process is ensuring equality, diversity, and inclusion, with special consideration for participants with disabilities. We will also ensure gender balance, diversity in career stages, and geographical representation.
We strongly encourage participation from PhD students and postdocs. Selected abstracts will be chosen either for short talks, flash talks and/or poster sessions.
Abstract guidelines
Abstracts are limited to 200 words, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations. All abstracts must be written in English. Please submit your abstract through the online registration system. Applicants should indicate whether they wish their abstract to be considered for an oral presentation.
Poster specifications
Posters should be in A0 format and in portrait orientation (84,1 cm width and 118,9 cm height).
Travel grants and registration fee waivers
Travel grants and registration fee waivers are available for participants.
Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizers. EMBO travel grants and registration fee waivers are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract.

Additional travel grants are available for EMBC Associate Member States Chile, India, Singapore and Taiwan.
