Selection criteria
We have already selected speakers who have all confirmed their participation at our workshop if it gets funded by EMBO. These speakers were selected on the basis of their work at the leading edge of research relevant to the topic of our workshop, for their qualities as speakers, their ability to communicate with and energize junior investigators and, most importantly, to ensure gender balance. Gender balance and a balanced geographic distribution will be considered in selecting the participants, the speakers for the short talks and the recipients of the travel fellowships.
The scientific program includes a combination of new speakers and established scientists, to promote continuity and community building.
Fifteen slots have been reserved for short talks (15 minutes) for which the speakers will be chosen from submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit and relevance to the themes of the workshop. The organizers will ensure that the selected speakers include a balanced mix of students, postdocs, and early stage investigators.
All participants will be encouraged to submit abstracts on their current research. Those not selected for short talks will get a chance to showcase their work in the flash talk session and poster sessions.
Abstract guidelines
Abstracts are now being accepted for lecture (invited speakers), short oral presentation (SOP) or poster presentation in each of the sessions.
You may upload pictures (monochromatic) if you like.
Poster specifications
Posters should not exceed the following dimensions: 90 cm x 110 cm (width x height).
