Abstract guidelines
Maximum word limit (250 words).
Only original research can be submitted for oral and poster sessions. Abstracts must be written in English and follow the submission instructions:
- Abstract must be submitted in English and limited to 250 words
- Abstract must include one title (max 200 characters) and belong to one of the conference topics.
- It is possible to upload pictures (up to 1000 * 1000 pixel) and chart.
- Abstract must be constructed in elements of Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
The scientific committee will review the abstracts and no further abstracts may be submitted after the abstract deadline. Multiple abstract submissions are permitted. Submission imply the willingness of atleast one author to register, attend the conference, and present the research if selected. The accepted papers for poster presentation or oral presentation will be presented physical and in English (that is the official language of the conference), unless opted for the virtual mode, while registering.
Abstract submission deadline 12th January 2023. Notification will be sent by 18th January 2023.
After the submission, an acknowledgement email is sent automatically to the author, to ensure that your abstract has been properly uploaded. The presnting author for both oral sessions as well as posters, must register and pay for the attending the meeting, before the abstract deadline.

Statement from all Participants (200 words max) justifying the reason for attending the meeting.
Reference Letter from the Supervisor/Mentor in case the participant is applying for a Travel Award.
Travel grants and registration fee waivers
Travel grants and registration fee waivers are available for participants.
Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizers. EMBO travel grants and registration fee waivers are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract.
Applicants do not need to apply separately for these but should indicate on the registration form if they wish to be considered.
Additional travel grants are available for EMBC Associate Member States Chile, India, Singapore and Taiwan.
Special travel grants and registration fee waivers
A limited number of travel grants and registration fee waivers are availablefor scientists working in Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia and Turkey. Grants are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract.
A maximum of 700 Euros per participant are available to cover registration fees, travel, and accommodation (no additional subsistence costs can be covered). To apply, please indicate the itemized amount requested in the travel grants section of the registration form.
Child care grants
EMBO Courses and Workshops offers grants to offset additional childcare costs incurred by participants or speakers when participating at any EMBO Courses and Workshop funded meeting. Eligible costs include fees for a caregiver or child-care facility, travel costs for a caregiver, or travel costs for taking the child to the meeting etc. Please indicate on the registration form whether you would like to be considered for the grant. Please also describe how you intend to use the childcare grant and specify the sum that you will need.
