About the Workshop

The modulation of chromatin structure and function is the basis of epigenetic regulation. The replacement of replication-coupled histones in the nucleosome by histone variants is still one of the least understood aspects of chromatin regulation. Advances in recent years have highlighted the crucial role of histone variants in chromatin dynamics, cell biology, development and disease. We will discuss the latest molecular insights into how histone variants are regulated and how they execute their epigenetic function.
