About the Workshop
The modulation of chromatin structure and function is the basis of epigenetic regulation. The replacement of replication-coupled histones in the nucleosome by histone variants is still one of the least understood aspects of chromatin regulation. Advances in recent years have made clear that histone variantsplay a pivotal role in development and cancer. We will discuss the latest molecular insights into how histone variants are regulated and how they execute their epigenetic function.
This workshop is the fourth of a focused series on histone variants, and will be organized in a virtual format, given the current health situation affecting travel and our ability to congregate in large numbers. It was previously planned for a hybrid virtual and in-person format, which will be reflected in any earlier information shared about the event. This workshop will consist of 140 participants connecting online. We have planned the workshop program to make this virtual format as interactive and intimate as possible for participants.
About EMBO Courses and Workshops
EMBO Courses and Workshops are selected for their excellent scientific quality and timelines, provision of good networking activities for all participants and speaker gender diversity (at least 40% of speakers must be from the underrepresented gender).
Organisers are encouraged to implement measures to make the meeting environmentally more sustainable.
