Selection criteria

The submitted abstracts will be evaluated for acceptance by a committee composed of members of the organizing committee for the EMBO Workshop on Viruses of Microbes V and members of the scientific advisory panel for the International Society for the Viruses of Microbes (ISVM). From this evaluation posters will be assigned presentation slots, and speakers will be chosen for offered talks based upon scientific content and conference balance.

Abstract guidelines

The abstract should display all authors and their full affiliation, a title and a short text (300 words maximum, including references) describing your research. The abstract should ideally describe unpublished material. Please indicate if you wish to present a short talk or a poster.

Abstracts should be uploaded on the registration form.

Poster specifications

The poster should be printed in portrait orientation at a size no larger than B1 (70 cm (W) x 100 cm (H))

Travel grants

A limited number of travel grants are available for participants. Applicants do not need to apply separately for travel grants for this event but should indicate on the registration form if they wish to be considered for a travel grant. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizer who will notify all eligible participants. More information is available at EMBO Travel Grants' page.

Accommodation grants

A limited number of accommodation grants are available for participants. Applicants do not need to apply separately for accommodation grants for this event but should indicate on the registration form if they wish to be considered for an accommodation grant.
