About the Workshop
Novel biophysical tools, combined with advanced cell biology, imaging and 'in vivo' methods have brought about a revolution in molecular neurobiology. This EMBO Workshop will bring together experts working at the interfaces between structural biology, biophysics and neurobiology. Particular focus is placed on processes that happen at or close to the cell membrane, where information is transduced by sophisticated mechanisms such as receptor-ligand interactions and channel properties. Given its cross-disciplinary nature, this EMBO Workshop will present excellent opportunities for discussion, forging new collaborations, comparing state-of-the art methods and combining views from different scientific perspectives. It will thus set the stage for a collaborative future in molecular neurobiology.
About EMBO Courses and Workshops
EMBO Courses and Workshops are selected for their excellent scientific quality and timelines, provision of good networking activities for all participants and speaker gender diversity (at least 40% of speakers must be from the underrepresented gender).
Organisers are encouraged to implement measures to make the meeting environmentally more sustainable.
